We all have fingers and toes crossed for them in the World Finals and are very excited to see how they get on. Pop on over to their Facebook page and wish them luck! We will keep you posted on how they get on!
JCI is a leadership training organisation for young people who wish to make a change in their communities. Adrian and Karen are both involved in JCI, with Adrian being president of the local Mayo branch of JCI in 2014.
We often have students in with us for work experience. We know that it can be difficult to get real-world experience in the web development industry and also that this is one thing that employers love to see on CVs. Because of this we are happy to help out suitably motivated individuals who are proactive and pragmatic with some experience.
BNI is the worlds most successful networking organisation of which we are proud members. The philosophy of BNI "Givers Gain", if you give me business I will want to give you business. This "giving" mentality is one of the reason BNI is so successful and the ain reason that we at Attik Designs are involved with the organisation. BNI is about local business people helping each other out by growing their networks and businesses. It is a great way to meet local business people and to network.
The Mayo Soceity for Preventation of Cruelty to Animals is a pet charity of Karen's. She fosters and helps get rescued cats and dogs rehomed. Check out the very handsome Zak who was fostered and then re-homed in 2014.
Along with JCI we volunteer at the MSCPA shelter throughout the year as well as collecting shredded paper from the office for bedding.
